Shiver Me Timbers!

Heard on SBS' 6:30 News, 1/3/10: When a Hamas minister in the Gaza Strip called for a third Palestinian intifada in response to Israel's latest provocation (28/2/10) at the Al-Aqsa Mosque compound, correspondent Ross Cameron reported: "Hamas in Gaza called for another intifada or Holy War." (Mideast protests, 1/3/10) The Arabic word intifada, literally means a 'shiver', 'shudder' or 'tremor'. Politically, it means an 'uprising'.

Becoming more clueless, gutless and irrelevant by the day (when was the last time you ever saw a decent documentary on Palestine/Israel on SBS?), it could be said that SBS is now little more than an intifada (shiver) in want of a spine to run up.
